Yes, friends...I've been avoiding the PC of late. Lack of entries, lack of Trillian...but getting more sleep. Well--except tonight, perhaps.
I just passed the three-YEAR mark of my layoff. Crap! Where does the time go? Speaking of milestones, I'm coming up to ONE year at the call center. Started there August 2, 2004. Currently solving "long-form" problems, performing re-rates, adding international dialing and/or roaming to accounts. The upside of this is...I'm not answering calls, ergo, not fighting with customers. It's just a cell phone, yet some react like their kids have been taken hostage. (rant OFF)
HAH! It's my weekend off! I have every intention of partaking in the St. Albert Farmers' Market, rain or shine.
The Calgary Stampede just ended last weekend, and now it's Edmonton's turn: "Klondike Days" began today with the annual parade downtown (in front of some 200,000 spectators), then the fair takes over at Northlands Park. For those who are immediately puzzled by "klondike", it's a reference to the early goldrush days in the Yukon...and yes, I know--the Yukon is over THERE, while Alberta is HERE. Why not just Google it, and see for yerself...
'Tis late, and mine eyeballs doth burn...g'night!
